Privacy Policy

In short: LittleRoots is a free app of Christian stories and songs for children and families.
We show no ads, families don't create accounts, and we don't collect personal information from children. What a child watches is remembered only on your own device.
Who we are
LittleRoots is made by LittleRoots Studios ("we", "us"). This policy covers the LittleRoots apps on TVs, phones, tablets and the web, including app.littlerootsstudios.com.
What stays on your device
To make the app work well, LittleRoots saves a few things in the app's storage on your own TV, phone or browser:
- which stories were started and where you stopped, so you can carry on watching;
- family settings, such as the daily screen-time limit and whether the logo sound plays;
- a copy of the video library, so the app opens quickly.
This information is not sent to us. You can remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
What we do not do
- We do not ask children (or parents) for names, email addresses, photos, locations or any other personal details.
- We do not show advertising and do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
- We do not use analytics that build profiles of children.
Services that help run LittleRoots
Like any app that streams video, your device connects to some services to load the app and play stories. These services receive technical information that every internet connection uses, such as your IP address and device type, to deliver content and keep it secure:
- Cloudflare hosts the app, its lettering and video player, and stores our videos.
- YouTube: some stories are still played from our YouTube channel inside the LittleRoots player while we move them to our own storage. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube's handling of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Grown-ups area
Settings are behind a simple question for grown-ups so children don't change them by accident. Nothing entered there leaves your device.
Contacting us
If you email us (for example at support@littlerootsstudios.com), we use your email address only to reply, and we don't add you to mailing lists without asking.
Children's privacy laws
LittleRoots is designed for children aged about 3 to 10, and for their families. We designed it to collect no personal information from children, in line with children's privacy laws such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the UK and EU GDPR. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how LittleRoots handles information, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect. If we ever plan to collect personal information, for example for family accounts or subscriptions, we will ask parents first.
